Branch AGM & Council Budget Update – 22nd February 2017


The Council will set a one year budget on Thursday and will use reserves to close the funding gap. We supported and encouraged this approach since it means that difficult cuts to jobs and services will be avoided this year. However the Branch recognises that we need to be organised for potentially very serious budget cuts in 2018/19.

We will provide members with an update on the budget position for 2018/19 at the Branch AGM and there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. The AGM takes place on Wednesday 22nd February at 12.30pm in the Greenock Town Hall Saloon. Lunch will be available from 12pm.
