UNISON Scotland response to the call for evidence on the draft budget for 2018/19 Local Government

The Scottish Parliament’s Local Government Committee is conducting an inquiry into the budget for the next financial year.

At this stage UNISON Scotland don’t have the draft budget, so the submission outlines the financial and other pressures on councils, who have taken the brunt of austerity cuts in Scotland.

The submission also includes the comments of members, taken from damage surveys, on what impact budget cuts are having on them and the services they deliver.
