Branch continues Campaign against 116 Frontline Job cuts
UNISON Inverclyde Branch continues our campaign against 116 frontline Job cuts by Inverclyde Council.
All Local Government members received a letter today explaining the decisions made by the Council and highlighting the Cuts we are fighting against.
Members are encouraged to lobby the local MSP Stuart McMillan to ask him what he is doing to ensure that Inverclyde Council receives a fair settlement from the Scottish Government which not only protects jobs and services but gives Council workers a proper above inflation pay rise.
Members were also asked to make their views known to the Council by taking part in Inverclyde Council’s Budget Cuts Consultation.
Branch Stewards will be able to answer any questions that members have and will also be out and about again this week meeting and speaking to the public about the impact these cuts will have in the local community.
