Important Information for Quarriers Members affected by Proposed Closures

The announcement that Quarriers board of trustees are proposing to close three services in Quarriers village; Davidson House, Kelly House & Parklands, has come as a huge blow to UNISON members working in these services.

Two other services, Glasgow day activities & Digital inclusion service, are also being proposed to close. In total around 60 jobs will be affected if these closures go ahead. Quarriers have begun a 30 day statutory consultation period, during which time UNISON will be doing all we can to prevent these closures from happening.

Care packages for adults supported in these projects are commissioned from a number of local authorities and we hope that they will do all they can to save these services from closing. UNISON will be engaging with Quarriers and UNISON members affected during the consultation period.
