Inverclyde Council Budget – Important Information

Dear Colleague

Over the next few days meetings are being held with employees whose jobs may be affected by next year’s budget cuts. This does not mean that your post will definitely be impacted upon as not all of the proposed cuts will need to be taken for the council to balance its budget. UNISON will continue to negotiate with elected members and officers over the next few months. This is to ensure that jobs and services are protected as far as possible.

If you are attending one of these meetings and feel afterwards that you would like some advice from UNISON then please do not hesitate to contact me. Myself or another officer from the branch will be happy to meet with you and other affected members within your service. Most of the budget decisions will not be taken until March next year.
