UNISON will protect public services and those who deliver them throughout this pandemic
A message from UNISON Scotland Convener, Lilian Macer, to all UNISON members:
“With the Scottish Government announcements about increased Covid cases and further restrictions, I wanted to reassure all our members that UNISON continues to do all we can to protect you throughout this pandemic – however long that takes. These are difficult times for all of us, but particularly for essential workers.
UNISON is negotiating with the Scottish Government and employers for the safest possible working conditions and to ensure that all essential workers have the protection they need to carry out the vital work they do to care for and protect the public.
UNISON is demanding the strongest possible workplace guidance; that you have the resources and equipment you need to do your work; that employers pay the extra costs if you have to work from home; and that your earnings are protected if you are sick, are shielding or have to self-isolate.
If you have any issues with your working conditions or employer compliance, please call UNISON and we will do everything we can to protect you. Contact your local UNISON branch, or call UNISON on 0800 0 857 857 or speak to your steward.
UNISON protects public services and those who deliver them”
