Local Government Pay Ballot – Don’t forget to vote

Local Government Members – Have you voted in the consultative strike ballot on the current Local Government pay offer yet?

DON’T DELAY – VOTE TODAY

You will have recently received a consultative ballot by email asking whether you are willing to take some form of action, up to and including strike action, in pursuit of an improved and acceptable pay offer.

If you have not yet voted in that ballot please do so today.

UNISON’s Scottish Local Government Committee is recommending that you vote YES to indicate your willingness to take some form of action in pursuit of an improved and acceptable offer from the employer. We believe this is now the only way to achieve movement in the employer’s position.

To date COSLA have only put forward one offer. Your Local Government Committee rejected that offer outright on the basis that they do not believe it is fair or equitable and that it falls far short of the Joint Trade Union claim.

Don’t forget to vote before 5.00 pm on Friday 22nd April 2022 when the ballot closes.

The attachment below has FAQ to help and if you have any queries please contact your workplace steward or the Branch Office. Further details are available on the UNISON Scotland website.
